What do you do when it's super hot in Bakersfield? You go to Tehachapi and pick cherries! My mother-in-law has a cherry tree in her backyard and it was loaded with cherries. We brought home a huge bag full of cherries. I was going to make a cherry pie, but they were almost all eaten within days! Everytime someone would walk by the kitchen, we would grab a handful of cherries. I even found a pile of cherry pits on the train table in the play room. Peter and Sam still wouldn't own up to who did it. I think it was both of them.
