We did it!

Last January the Friend had this chart(what Sam is holding). Every month, after you read a book, you put a picture on the frame. I thought that we should do this as a family so one Sunday night for Family Home Evening I read What Joseph Smith said about the Book of Momon being the keystone of our religion and then I asked the kids if they wanted to read theBook of Mormon this year. They said yes and so our challenge begain! I wasn't sure if we would complete this goal or not, but the boys were the ones who asked if we were going to read. Every night they asked to read, it was really amazing how much they wanted to read and how much they understood. I loved watching their faces light up when they understood a gospel principle. So now this year we are going to read the Doctrine and Covenants! Oh, by the way, I LOVE the scriptures for LDS families, they so totally rock!

Yay! Good job guys! Jonah learns so much from listening to us read the scriptures and he asks such good questions sometimes it's amazing! it's a nice feeling knowing that you're teaching your kids what this life is all about and watching them understand! Good luck this year with the D&C!!
