Peter advanced to 1st Class! He worked really hard both years at Camp Kern to earn this rank advancement and he had a lot of fun doing it too. It's really hard as mom knowing that he's up there swimming in a cold lake, using a knife, throwing hatchets, learning to shoot a bow and arrow, and who knows what else the boys (both the kids and the adult leaders) do up there that would turn my hair white. I'm glad he is learning all these neat survival skills and that I don't have to be there to witness it!
